Promised vs. Produced
33% of 165 are producing so far. We recount every quarter. The data is open.Open data

Formosa Plastics, St. James ParishWhat counts
A single U.S. factory in any sector, announced since January 2017, that promised:
$1B+in capital
or2,000+jobs in the factory
Bar length is announced capital. The solid part is producing; the hatched part is not yet. Open a state for its own board, or see all 165 promises on one board.
15 of the lower 48 have no tracked promise since 2017. A share-producing rank appears on the 17 state pages with three or more promises. Each of those states has only a few rows, so the rank is a count, not a judgment.
Why this matters
When a promised factory is late or never produces, the company isn’t the only one that pays.
